Seeing the world through the eyes of a child has been eye-opening for model Angela Lindvall. In a new interview with Modelinia, the 30-year-old mom-of-two says that while motherhood “brings about a complete internal strength and a kind of warrioress spirit because you know you’re capable of anything,” at the same time it also “brings out the child within.”
“The child will come to an adult and say, ‘Mommy, look … flower!’ And you can either be like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, cute,’ and go back to what you were doing, or get down and stop and be in the moment that your child is always in. Say, ‘Wow, look at the color of the flower. Where did you get it? You know, that’s really beautiful.’”
For Angela, embracing her “goofy inner-child” often means dance parties with William Dakota, 7 ½, and Sebastian, 4. “That’s our favorite thing to do,” she reveals. “I put the music on really loud in the living room, and I let them get on the coffee table [and] the couch…We dance like total dorks.” Having spent the last six months on her own, Angela says that her two children offer her all the support — and snuggles! — she needs. “It’s this unconditional love,” she notes.
“You know when you’re in a relationship with someone, it’s very powerful in the beginning and then you kind of get used to each other? That love with your children is powerful like that all the time. They’re always there. They’re my little buddies.”
